Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Hurricane Star was slow to begin.  Bucked Head turned its head soon after the start.  Mt. View Nancy crossed in soon after the start and collided with Bucked Head, Manila Shine and Hurricane Miami checking all four greyhounds.  Joyful Julian and Hurricane Star collided on the first turn.  Manila Shine and Bellbird collided on the home turn.  Hurricane Star lost ground from the home turn to the winning post.  Bellbird tired in the home straight.

Bellbird underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Bucked Head underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left monkey muscle and an abrasion on the left hind foot.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. I. Ognjenovic regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after the start.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Bucked Head was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Ognjenovic pleaded guilty to the charge, Bucked Head was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(B)(1) and pursuant to GAR 72 before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lightwood Lad, Go Gem and Set To Burn collided soon after the start.  Set To Burn and Old Sale Road collided soon after the start checking Old Sale Road.  Klimenko galloped on Bomber's Smokey on the first turn checking Klimenko, Bomber's Smokey and Walk With Grace.  Lightwood Lad, Set To Burn and Bit Of Pepper collided approaching the home turn.  Bomber's Smokey was checked off Set To Burn on the home turn.    Klimenko and Walk With Grace collided in the home straight.  Go Gem raced wide in the home straight.  Set To Burn and Lightwood Lad collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Elude.  A post race blood sample was subsequently taken.

Mt. View Jester was slow to begin.  Hurricane Sue was checked off Molly Magic on the first turn checking Mt. View Jester and Hurricane Sue.  Molly Magic, Totally Bella and Light It Up collided several times on the home turn.

Gosh and Sweet Chanelle were slow to begin.  Hurricane Keely, Hurricane Miss and Gosh collided soon after the start.  Grab That Earn, Hurricane Keely, Hurricane Miss and Sweet Chanelle collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Miss.

Fallen Petal was slow to begin.  Why Not Gigi was checked off Braeside soon after the start.  Run To You was checked off Fallen Petal approaching the first turn.  Go The Doves galloped on Inter Vince approaching the first turn checking Go The Doves.  Go The Doves and Braeside collided on the first turn checking Braeside.  Inter Vince was checked off Go Nera entering the home straight.

Wee Gem was quick to begin.  Tiny Shiny and Thunderbolt Jack were slow to begin.  Hird From Bucks, Consider It Done, Hip Hippy Shake and Tiny Shiny collided on the first turn checking Hird From Bucks and Hip Hippy Shake.  Splinter and Sweet Hostility collided on the home turn.

Why Not Dot was quick to begin.  Mac's Mayhem was slow to begin.  Done Time and Super Nat collided soon after the start.  Always Primed and Aston Rum collided soon after the start.  Scraping Paint and Aston Rum collided on the first turn.  Done Time and Super Nat collided on the first turn. Aston Rum, Mac's Mayhem and Inter Mimi collided on the home turn.  Done Time and Mac's Mayhem collided in the home straight.

Fenway Lights was quick to begin.  Cee Me Snoop was slow to begin.  It's A Tiger and Why Not Lilah collided soon after the start.  It's A Tiger and Inter Helen collided on the first turn.  Inter Helen and Fenway Lights collided approaching the home turn.  Inter Helen visibly eased approaching the home turn and collided with Fenway Lights checking both greyhounds, causing Pine Gem to race wide.

Fenway Lights underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Ms. K. Gorman the trainer of Fenway Lights regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Fenway Lights must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72 before any future nomination will be accepted.

Inter Helen underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Interligi the trainer of Inter Helen regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Inter Helen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Interligi pleaded guilty to the charge, Inter Helen was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(A)(2) and pursuant to GAR 72 before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Shanlyn Spot was slow to begin.  Mister Wingard and Zipping Kay collided soon after the start. Mister Wingard was checked off Kai Valley Rocks approaching the first turn severely checking Mister Wingard.  Shanlyn Spot raced wide on the first turn and approaching the home turn.  Kai Valley Rocks and Kanga Lights collided approaching the home turn.  Italia Bella and Kanga Lights collided on the home turn. Shanlyn Spot raced wide on the home turn and entering the home straight. Zipping Kay and Kai Valley Rocks collided entering the home straight.  Busy Izzy and Italia Bella collided in the home straight.

Banjo Plato was quick to begin.  Victa Libby was slow to begin.  Mt. View Emma, Banjo Plato and Megasonic collided approaching the first turn checking Mt. View Emma.  Megasonic and Bella Porscha collided on the first turn checking Megasonic, Bella Porscha, Big Plans and Parumba Barcia.  Big Plans and Parumba Barcia collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn.  Mt. View Emma was checked off Banjo Plato on the home turn.
