Galloping Run, Kaboom Indeed and Love A Collision were slow to begin. Galloping Run brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Blue Cascade and Galiena Bale collided on the first turn checking Blue Cascade, Galiena Bale and Urana Vieri. Galloping Run crossed out on the first turn and collided with Urana Vieri, checking both greyhounds. Love A Collision faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently tailed off. Blue Cascade and Galiena Bale collided in the home straight.
Love A Collision underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and left chest muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
