Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Get Around Her was quick to begin. Dewana Lynee was slow to begin. Get Around Her and Gizmo Osti collided on the first turn. Finnegan Bale and Dewana Lynee collided on the first turn checking Dewana Lynee. Recinder Jack raced wide on the first turn. Get Around Her and Gizmo Osti collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Dewana Lynee raced wide in the home straight. 

Gizmo Osti underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind webbing. No stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Brendan Dewan regarding the racing manners of Dewana Lyne on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Dewan, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.

Urana Vieri- New declared weight of 28.1kg, last raced at 26.9kg.

Little Nellie- New declared weight of 28.3kg, last raced at 27.2kg.

Galloping Run, Kaboom Indeed and Love A Collision were slow to begin. Galloping Run brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Blue Cascade and Galiena Bale collided on the first turn checking Blue Cascade, Galiena Bale and Urana Vieri. Galloping Run crossed out on the first turn and collided with Urana Vieri, checking both greyhounds. Love A Collision faltered approaching the home turn and subsequently tailed off. Blue Cascade and Galiena Bale collided in the home straight. 

Love A Collision underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and left chest muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race blood sample was taken from Little Nellie - the winner of the event. 

A sample was taken from Blue Tick Erin upon arrival at the course.

Laxman was quick to begin. Blue Tick Erin was slow to begin. Art Prize crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Coco Chum, Rocket Ronnie, Taciana and Fidelia. Rocket Ronnie and Taciana collided approaching the home turn. Rocket Ronnie and Casanova Man collided on the home turn. Taciana and Fidelia collided on the home turn. Taciana and Coco Chum collided in the home straight. Blue Tick Erin raced wide in the home straight. 

Galloping Speed was quick to begin. Devon Shadow was slow to begin. Kuta Cowboy checked off Honey Double One approaching the first turn. Apple Valley and Devon Shadow collided approaching the first turn. Apple Valley galloped on Kuta Cowboy on the first turn. Adesanya raced wide on the first turn. Honey Double One and Adesanya collided on the second turn. Apple Valley and Kuta Cowboy collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.

Hook Along Pippa and Cayden Bale were quick to begin. Hillbilly Road and My Bro Lucky collided soon after the start. Rockin' Rosie, Veritee Bale and Cayden Bale collided approaching the first turn. Rebel May Road checked off Rockin' Rosie on the first turn. Hook Along Pippa checked off Cayden Bale on the second turn causing Hook Along Pippa to collide with Rockin' Rosie, checking both greyhounds. Hillbilly Road and Rebel May Road collided entering the home straight. 

Take A Daisy was quick to begin. Gellar Bale and Why Not Pockets collided approaching the first turn checking Why Not Pockets. Midnight Breeze and Take A Daisy collided on the first turn checking Midnight Breeze, Gellar Bale, Princess America and Why Not Pockets and severely checking Take A Daisy. Gellar Bale and Why Not Pockets collided approaching the home turn. Princess America galloped on Gellar Bale entering the home straight.

Why Not Kez was quick to begin. Boes Reward and Knuckles were slow to begin. Calabrese Gino and All To Lucky collided approaching the first turn checking All To Lucky. Boes Reward and Knuckles collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Calabrese Gino and Why Not Kez collided in the home straight. 

Why Not Kez underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Teardrop, Lennie's Flyer and Rocky Pie were slow to begin. Glascoe Sally lost considerable ground approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Lennie's Flyer and Rocky Pie collided approaching the first turn. My Lil' Angel and Rocky Pie collided approaching the home turn. 

Glascoe Sally underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Kibitzer and Star Gem were quick to begin. Half a Double and Boes High Five were slow to begin. Send It Tucker and Star Gem collided soon after the start. Amazing Roy and Lil Roughy collided approaching the first turn. Amazing Roy and Half A Double collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Boes High Five raced wide approaching the home turn. Lil Roughy raced wide in the home straight.

Mr Martyn Empson requested an early race endorsement for Horace Bale. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Horace Bale will compete in early races until further notice.

Hard At It was slow to begin. Horace Bale and Free Kick Hawks collided approaching the first turn. Buy The Dip checked off Run Fast Spirit on the first turn severely chicking Buy The Dip. Hard At It and Split Pea collided on the first turn. Horace Bale and Free Kick Hawks collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn, checking both greyhounds.

Rosta Power and Lady Elegance was quick to begin. Crouching Tiger was slow to begin. Crouching Tiger and Kiwi Swagger collided approaching the first turn. Rosta Power and Lady Elegance collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Silky Success underwent a post-trial veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Riccarton Matt – Marring and Blinkers On - Field of 4, Distance 311m, Weight 32.3 kg, Box 3, Placed 1st, Time Run 18.58 - Comment: Cleared to race in blinkers, Cleared All Tracks except Sandown.

Finding Gobi  – FTC due to Injury - Field of 4, Distance 311m, Weight 28.4kg, Box 6, Placed 3rd, Time Run 18.63 - Comment: Not Cleared - Turned its head soon after the start.
