A pre-race sample was taken from Sweet Demi.
Inuka was quick to begin. Rollo Ragnar and Kasey Anne collided approaching the first turn checking Kasey Anne. Rollo Ragnar crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Nicholas Rose and Kasey Anne. Sweet Demi and Stirling Lights collided on the first turn. William Rose, Inuka and Sweet Demi collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Rollo Ragnar crossed out on the home turn causing Rollo Ragnar and Nicholas Rose to race wide checking Nicholas Rose. Nicholas Rose and Rollo Ragnar raced wide in the home straight.
