Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sloth.
Heads Or Tails was slow begin. Holly's Delight lost ground soon after the start. Galaxy Icon and Sloth collided approaching the first turn. Heads Or Tails and Chuck Attack collided on the first turn. Sloth galloped on the heels of Chain Breaker approaching the home turn and collided with Explosive Yaala, All Inn Chester and Chuck Attack, checking All Inn Chester, Explosive Yaala and Sloth. Sloth, Explosive Yaala and All Inn Chester collided on the home turn checking Explosive Yaala which stumbled and lost ground.
Explosive Yaala underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury the webbing on the left hindleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Holly's Delight underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left shoulder, right shoulder and left hip. A 3 day stand own period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Philip Clark, the trainer of Holly's Delight regarding the performance of the greyhound shortly after the start. After taking into account the greyhounds injury, the comments of Mr. Clark and their own observations the Stewards requested Mr Clark, in accordance with GAR 75 (1), to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Holly's Delight in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
