Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Southern Edge with handler Mr Joshua Formosa and noted their comments
Red Hot Chance and Two Times Ebony collided soon after. Silky Rose and Red Hot Chance collided approaching the first turn. Southern Edge and Two Times Ebony collided on the first turn checking Two Times Ebony which collided with Silky Rose. Southern Edge and Kinloch Journey collided approaching the home turn checking Kinloch Journey.
Southern Edge underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to right trapezius muscle and spike wounds. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Kinloch Journey underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right hip. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
