Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Dinkydi Lilly was quick to begin. Uncatchable Girl, Holding Hope and Sonic Rainboom collided approaching the first turn checking Sonic Rainboom. Gem Victorem and Ishmy Neecy collided on the first turn. Ishmy Neecy and Gem Victorem collided approaching the home turn checking Gem Victorem which collided with Sonic Rainboom. Taipan Jill and Uncatchable Girl collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Heads Or Tails was slow begin. Holly's Delight lost ground soon after the start. Galaxy Icon and Sloth collided approaching the first turn. Heads Or Tails and Chuck Attack collided on the first turn. Sloth galloped on the heels of Chain Breaker approaching the home turn and collided with Explosive Yaala, All Inn Chester and Chuck Attack, checking All Inn Chester, Explosive Yaala and Sloth. Sloth, Explosive Yaala and All Inn Chester collided on the home turn checking Explosive Yaala which stumbled and lost ground.

Explosive Yaala underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury the webbing on the left hindleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Holly's Delight underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left shoulder, right shoulder and left hip. A 3 day stand own period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Philip Clark, the trainer of Holly's Delight regarding the performance of the greyhound shortly after the start.  After taking into account the greyhounds injury, the comments of Mr. Clark and their own observations the Stewards requested Mr Clark, in accordance with GAR 75 (1), to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Holly's Delight in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event. 

Jachar and Marley's Rage were slow to begin. Level Neville and Bongino collided soon after the start. Nicko In Paris, Level Neville and Bongino collided approaching the first turn checking Level Neville. Level Neville and Marley's Rage collided on the first turn checking Level Neville. Bongino and Marley's Rage collided approaching the home turn checking Marley's Rage.

A post-race sample was taken from Nicko In Paris - the winner of the event.

Scott Worth It - Late scratching at 5.42pm on 21.10.20 due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Five Sisters was slow to begin. Max Ruby and Gap Cabang collided approaching the first turn. Shock Horror and Max Ruby collided approaching the first turn. Gap Cabang visibly eased and turned its head approaching the winning post.

Gap Cabang underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Gregory Berry regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Gap Cabang was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Berry pleaded guilty to the charge, Gap Cabang was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Glory Road and Deed's Delight collided approaching the first turn checking Glory Road. Too Far, Dewana Chic and Deed's Delight collided on the first turn. Too Far galloped on the heels of Dewana Chic approaching the home turn checking Too Far, Dewana Chic and Deed's Delight. Strategic raced wide in the home straight.

Come Home and Superior Charry collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Come Home. Come Home and Panel collided approaching the home turn. Panel galloped on Superior Charry entering the home straight.

Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Southern Edge with handler Mr Joshua Formosa and noted their comments

Southern Edge underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to right trapezius muscle and spike wounds. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Kinloch Journey underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right hip. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Kraken Storm underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound and an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr John Mangion failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Awesome Asset for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
