Steward's Report
Tinker Cass and Chief Command were slow to begin.
Cullquin Elijah, Tinker Cass and Sofie Gogolac collided approaching the first turn checking Cullquin Elijah and Sofie Gogolac. Double Truffle and Taylor Jayde collided approaching the home turn checking Taylor Jayde and Chief Command. Double Truffle visibly eased approaching the home turn and turned its head outwards. Tinker Cass and Taylor Jayde collided approaching the home turn. Double Truffle failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the home straight and collided with Miss Winks. Double Truffle and Tinker Cass collided in the home straight checking Tinker Cass.
Double Truffle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to Mrs M.Inguanti the handler of Double Truffle regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Double Truffle was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Inguanti pleaded guilty to the charge, Double Truffle is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post race sample was taken from Cullquin Eljah - winner of the event.
