Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

This race was delayed approximately one minute due to Globe Derby harness.

Gina Louise was quick to begin. Son Of Peter was slow to begin.

Ruby Arizona crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Lainey Zapper and Callow Street. Son Of Peter and Callow Street collided on the first turn. Son Of Peter raced wide in the home straight. Miss Trixy and Summer Siren collided in the home straight.

This race was approximately one and half minutes late due to Grafton gallops.

Swamp Donkey was slow to begin.

La La Jersey and Cash No Credit collided soon after the start. Fake Shot and Swamp Donkey collided approaching the first turn. La La Jersey, Sense Of Wonder and Fake Shot collided on the first turn. Zombie Hunter checked off the heels of Swamp Donkey on the first turn. La La Jersey and Fake Shot collided on the home turn.

Zombie Hunter underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have mild thumps symptoms. No stand down period was imposed

Taciana and Aston Logan were slow to begin.

Taciana checked off Who Is Arandt soon after the start. Aston Logan and I'm A Burner collided approaching the first turn. Aerolithology checked off Who Is Arandt on the first turn checking I'm A Burner. Aston Logan raced wide in the home straight.

Tinker Cass and Chief Command were slow to begin.

Cullquin Elijah, Tinker Cass and Sofie Gogolac collided approaching the first turn checking Cullquin Elijah and Sofie Gogolac. Double Truffle and Taylor Jayde collided approaching the home turn checking Taylor Jayde and Chief Command. Double Truffle visibly eased approaching the home turn and turned its head outwards. Tinker Cass and Taylor Jayde collided approaching the home turn. Double Truffle failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the home straight and collided with Miss Winks. Double Truffle and Tinker Cass collided in the home straight checking Tinker Cass. 

Double Truffle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.Stewards spoke to Mrs M.Inguanti the handler of Double Truffle regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching  the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Double Truffle was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Inguanti  pleaded guilty to the charge, Double Truffle is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pyrenees Daisy was slow to begin. 

Stride For Pride and Tiramisu For You collided soon after the start. Rezzie's Choice, Cullquin Marcel and Indominus collided entering the back straight. Isotope and Stride For Pride collided approaching the second turn checking Rezzie's Choice and Pyrenees Daisy. Indominus, Isotope and Stride For Pride collided on the second turn checking Isotope and Stride For Pride. Stride For Pride and Isotope collided approaching the home turn checking Rezzie's Choice. Indominus and Pyrenees Daisy raced wide in the home straight.

Shaun Baulch was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Master Faith pursuant to GAR 33.

Romanova was slow to begin. 

Moraine Hayley and Honest Keithy collided approaching the first turn. Flash Angel, Lock Pepper and Flaming Assassin collided approaching the first turn checking Flaming Assassin, Lock Pepper and Big Baccala. Flaming Assassin and Big Baccala collided on the first turn checking Flaming Assassin. Flash Angel and Master Faith collided approaching the home turn. Flaming Assassin raced wide on the home turn.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Just A Fidget with Mr. J. Formosa and noted the comments.

Annie My Mate and Keeping Busy were slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Ms. S. Gray, the trainer of Iceni Riddler regarding the scratching of the greyhound from this event. Stewards noted that the reserve Iceni Riot, trained by Ms. T. Gray from the same kennel, was allocated Box 1 subsequent to the scratching. Stewards also noted that Iceni Riot had received support in the fixed odds market in early betting. Ms. Gray stated that Iceni Riddler had a dew claw injury when she checked the greyhound yesterday morning. Ms. Gray added that she scratched Iceni Riddler pursuant to the rules shortly thereafter. Stewards noted her comments.
