Steward's Report
Formidable - Late scratching at 6.29pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an elevated temperature and mild diarrhoea. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Redzin was slow to begin.
Twilight Flame and Shonky Sticker collided on the home turn. Twilight Flame, People Get Ready and Strike Out collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds. Redzin and People Get Ready collided entering the home straight. People Get Ready checked off Zanzibar Icon in the home straight checking Twilight Flame. Twilight Flame marred People Get Ready in the home straight.
Twilight Flame underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Vantaarling, the handler of Twilight Flame regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Twilight Flame was charged with marring. Mr Vantaarling pleaded guilty to the charge, Twilight Flame is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Strike Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a broken toe on the left foreleg. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
