Steward's Report
The start time of this event was amended from 7:34pm to 7:37pm due to the abandonment of Richmond greyhounds.
A pre-race sample was taken from Caveman Yap.
Deed's Delight underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Jones, the trainer of Deed's Delight regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Deed's Delight was charged with marring. Mr. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Deed's Delight is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Oscar De Lonhro, winner of the event.
Stewards noted that the reserve number 9 was not in place of number 5 on the front of the boxes for this event.
