Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 &6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Slingshot Bailey and Superior Digby collided approaching the 150m mark. Makes Cents and Slingshot Bailey collided approaching the 150m mark. Slingshot Bailey and Superior Digby collided approaching the 100m mark.

Magic Indeed underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have and injury to the left supraspinatus muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Riccarton Weaver and Klimenko were slow to begin.

Billy Tirch crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark severely checking Billy Tirch, All Good Harmony, Into The River and Sharpedo causing Sharpedo to fall as a result. Billy Tirch and Elude collided approaching the 200m mark.

Sharpedo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left quadriceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Gosh.

Battle Cruiser crossed to the outside soon after the start and marred Anita Sonic Love. Ray's Boy and Meehan Ziggy collided soon after the start. Ray's Boy and Who Told Gawnie collided at the 250m mark. Meehan Ziggy and Gosh collided at the 250m mark. Ray's Boy and Meehan Ziggy collided approaching the 150m mark. Eau De Vie brushed the running rail at the 150m mark.

Battle Cruiser underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Ms A. Terry, the trainer of Battle Cruiser regarding the greyhound's racing manners soon after start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Battle Cruiser was charged with marring. Ms Terry pleaded guilty to the charge, Battle Cruiser is suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

You Ember was slow to begin.

Call Me Tiger, Nicko Dancer and Brave Joy collided approaching the 300m mark. Call Me Tiger and Gordelle Bale collided at the 150m mark.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mrs L. Hellmuth for negligently entering a prohibited area prior to event on the way to the catching pen.  Stewards issued a warning to Mrs Hellmuth pursuant to GAR 86 (o).

A sample was taken from Boes Bandit upon arrival at the course.

Main Force, Emergency and Reiko Martini collided soon after the start. Main Force and Nova To Burn collided approaching the 250m mark. Main Force galloped on Kanga Lights approaching the 250m mark checking Main Force severely checking Kanga Lights. 

Emergency underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Uzzi Bale was slow to begin.

Back Ya Self and Boes Reward collided approaching the 250m mark, the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark.

Royal Arrival was slow to begin.

Low Planes and Clan Mcmillan collided approaching the 300m mark. Big Flash Marjen and Duke Of Burnley collided at the 300m mark. Clan Mcmillan and Royal Arrival collided at the 300m mark. Flying Fifi galloped on Duke Of Burnley approaching the 150m mark.

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Joking Bear with Mr Grant Hammerstein and noted his comments.

Frankie Fever and Handsome collided soon after the start and again at the 300m mark. Handsome and Joking Bear collided several times approaching the 100m mark.  Billy's Missile and Busy Time collided at the 50m mark. Handsome, Joking Bear and Busy Time collided approaching the winning post. Mr. Vinnie, Challis Sprite and Billy's Missile collided approaching the winning post.

Joking Bear underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Mich Wiggle, No Marjen and Superior Jessica collided approaching the 250m mark. Quarantined and Take A Sunflower collided at the 250m mark. Meehan Marlow, No Marjen and Take A Sunflower collided at the 100m mark. Where's The Rum and Mich Wiggle collided at the 100m mark checking both greyhounds.

A post-race sample was taken from Aston Frigate - the winner of the event.

High Plain and Flying Flash collided approaching the 150m mark. Flying Flash crossed the rail at the 150m mark and collided with High Plain checking High Plain.

A post-race sample was taken from Midnight Express - the winner of the event.

Nitro Roxy - Late scratching at 8.13pm on 26.9.20 when Mr W. Gummow reported the greyhound to have Diarrhoea GAR 23. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Trash was slow to begin.

Aston Guinness, Huey's Dream and Electric Mick collided at the 250m mark checking Electric Mick and Aston Guinness. Trash and Superior Kiki collided approaching the 100m mark.
