Blue Magic Opal-- The frequency of racing was discussed with trainer, Mr J.Xerri. His comments were noted.
Trainer, Mr L.Green advised that So Bright was scratched in accordance with the rules due to hamstring soreness.
A pre race sample was taken from Lucky Yap.
Saint Ellie was slow to begin. Simmo Gogolac, Cookie Deeds, Blue Magic Opal, Lucky Yap and Poppo's Legacy collided approaching the first turn checking Blue Magic Opal and Poppo's Legacy, severely checking Lucky Yap which fell. Lucky Yap and Simmo Gogolac collided approaching the home turn. Cookie Deeds, Simmo Goglac and Blue Magic Opal collided in the home straight. Simmo Gogolac checked off Blue Magic Opal approaching the winning post.
Lucky Yap was vetted-- Right back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
