A pre-race sample was taken from Why Not Kez.
Coconino was quick to begin.
Honey Edition stumbled at box rise. Riverdale Tuohy and Short Tyson collided approaching the first turn. Riverdale Tuohy checked off Short Tyson on the first turn causing Riverdale Tuohy to lose ground. Oreo Lady checked off Short Tyson approaching the home turn. Short Tyson and Honey Edition collided approaching the home turn checking Honey Edition. Honey Edition stumbled on the home turn.
Riverdale Tuohy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg thigh muscle injury and a right hindleg triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
