Steward's Report
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Lakeview Cash - New declared weight of 32.9kgs, last raced at 31.5kgs.
Into The Kitchen and Let's Trot were slow to begin. Rona's Rocket crossed in on the first turn checking Scary Too. Lakeview Cash and Into The Kitchen collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Lakeview Cash turned its head inwards in the home straight and collided with Fat Cracker.
Lakeview Cash underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Harley Whelan, the representative of Lakeview Cash regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Lakeview Cash was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Whelan pleaded guilty to the charge, Lakeview Cash was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) (a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
