Steward's Report

The start of this event was delayed by approximately one minute to allow the muzzle of Minnie Banjo to be changed.

Lektra Violet and Sugar Shane were slow to begin.

Rockin' Diamonds and Crackerjack Noah collided soon after the start, checking Rockin' Diamonds.  Buster's Choice and Moriah Bale collided on the first turn; checking Crackerjack Noah; severely checking Buster's Choice.  Rockin' Diamonds and Lektra Violet collided on the first turn, checking Sugar Shane.  Buster's Choice crossed out entering the home straight.  Minnie Banjo turned its head out,wards,visably eased and collided with Rapid Royale in the home straight.

Minnie Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Harding, the trainer of Minnie Banjo, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Minnie Banjo was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Harding pleaded guilty to the charge, Minnie Banjo was found guilty and suspended for three months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Noah - the winner of the event.
