Liberty Royal – Late scratching at 5.43pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31). Trainer Mr C Langley informed Stewards of a road closure. Vic Roads confirmed.

Ricky Racoon checked off Finch on the first turn. Ricky Racoon contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.
Ricky Racoon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing and a laceration to the right hindleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
