Ricky Racoon checked off Finch on the first turn. Ricky Racoon contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. 

Ricky Racoon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing and a laceration to the right hindleg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Sugar Boloney was slow to begin.

Xaria Bale stumbled soon after the start and lost ground. Rockstar Haynes, Resse's Girl and Cawbourne Toe collided soon after the start. Resse's Girl checked off Cawbourne Toe on the first turn. Rockstar Haynes checked off Cawbourne Toe entering the home straight.

Bound By – Late scratching at 4.52pm when trainer Mr R Chivell reported the greyhound to have a papilloma (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Gintoki Bale checked off Doughnut soon after the start. Brain Wave and Gintoki Bale collided soon after the start causing Gintoki Bale to fall. Hyena Queen galloped on Brain Wave on the first turn checking Brain Wave.

Gintoki Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a bruised jaw and cut gum. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
