All staff & participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.2 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Blazing Beast was quick to begin.  Destroy We Said was slow to begin.

Stalking Shadow and Nitro Nikki collided soon after the start.  Sequin, Stalking Shadow and Nitro Nikki collided on the first turn; checking Stalking Shadow, Nitro Nikki and Destroy We Said.

Chilly Bin was very slow to begin (10L).

Aces Are Trumps and All Inn Aussie collided soon after the start.  Ferocious Pedro and Go Kaney Go collided approaching the first turn.  Perambulation and Just Admit It collided on the first turn, checking Perambulation.  Just Admit It and Crackerjack Dane collided on the first turn.  Crackerjack Dane checked off Go Kaney Go entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Chilly Bin underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Ms A Gibbons, the trainer of Chilly Bin regarding its performance at the start.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Chilly Bin must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cloud Raiser was quick to begin.  Black Beaver was slow to begin.

Milana Rose and Skibo Boy collided soon after the start.  Aston Orazio and Crackerjack Noah collided soon after the start.  Milana Rose, Ordelia Bale and Cloud Raiser collided approaching the first turn.  Ordelia Bale galloped on the heels of Milana Rose on the first turn; checking Milana Rose, Ordelia Bale, Lil Miss Shooter and Skibo Boy.  Aston Orazio, Crackerjack Noah and Black Beaver collided on the first turn, checking Aston Orazio.  Milana Rose and Lil Miss Shooter collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight.

Joffa's Impala and Super Marli collided soon after the start.  Super Marli, Zambora Richie, Jarick Bale and Joffa's Impala collided on the first turn; checking Joffa's Impala and Jarick Bale; severely checking Super Marli and Zambora Richie.  Jarick Bale and Joffa's Impala collided approaching the home turn.

Aston Express and Zipping Valerie collided soon after the start.  Aston Express checked off the heels of Zipping Valerie approaching the first turn.  Aston Express checked off the heels of Katey Penny on the first turn and collided with Betatron; resulting in Betatron being checked and causing Smokey Renn to race wide.  Soda Prince checked off Angus Rhode on the first turn.  Katey Penny and Zipping Valerie collided approaching the home turn.  Betatron checked off Skating Queen on the home turn.  Aston Express and Zipping Valerie collided in the home straight, checking Zipping Valerie.

Molly Tessa, Demolition and Max Tractor collided on the first turn.  Molly Tessa, Demolition and Barefoot Barry collided approaching the home turn.  Demolition and Molly Tessa collided approaching the home turn; checking Kinloch Moss; severely checking Molly Tessa.  Cypress Bale, Demolition and Barefoot Barry collided on the home turn, checking Cypress Bale.

Molly Tessa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasion to the right foreleg toe.  No stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Aubry, Shinjuku and Abalone Fozz collided soon after the start.  Zimmer Bale and Crackerjack Suni collided approaching the first turn.  Crackerjack Suni galloped on the heels of Shinjuku on the first turn; checking Crackerjack Suni and Zimmer Bale.  Foreman, Zimmer Bale and Crackerjack Suni collided approaching the home turn.  Zipping Aubry and Abalone Fozz collided approaching the winning post.

Aston Antoine was slow to begin.

Molly Byrnes and Fleur Burger collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Fleur Burger, Molly Byrnes and Bill Bob Lad collided on the first turn; checking Molly Byrnes, Aston Antoine and Kratos Bale.

Mr R Brewer failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve Aston Antoine for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

A sample was taken from Powder Burn upon arrival at the course.

Trainer, Ms D White was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Ned's Reward pursuant to GAR 33.

Mr D Fisher requested an early race endorsement for Zipping Buzz.  The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian.  Zipping Buzz will compete in early races until further notice.

Zander was quick to begin.  Zipping Buzz and Mr. Bent Lee were slow to begin.

Ned's Reward checked off Nine Wine Wine soon after the start.  Zipping Buzz and Quinto Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Zipping Buzz.  Powder Burn and Nine Wine Wine collided on the first turn.  Mr. Bent Lee raced wide on the first turn.  Quinto Bale galloped on the heels of Blazing Nenna approaching the home turn.  Powder Burn and Blazing Nenna collided on the home turn; checking Powder Burn; severely checking Blazing Nenna.
