All staff & participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds. 

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.1 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 18 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Five Star, Girls Got Rhythm and Grace's Spirit collided soon after the start.  Harrison House, Aston Rabanne and Invictus Jaxson collided soon after the start checking Invictus Jaxson.  West Song and Harrison House collided approaching the first turn causing Harrison House to check off Invictus Jaxson.  Grace's Spirit checked off Five Star approaching the first turn checking Girls Got Rhythm.  West Song and Harrison House collided on the first turn checking Harrison House, Aston Rabanne and Five Star.  Galloping Occy checked off Grace's Spirit entering the back straight.  Harrison House and Grace's Spirit collided on the third turn.  Grace's Spirit checked off Girls Got Rhythm.  Girls Got Rhythm and Grace's Spirit collided approaching the winning post.

Aragog – Late scratching at 2.11pm when Mrs Lisa Cockerell reported the greyhound to have a webbing injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Toto and David Coin collided soon after the start. Aston Toto and Kutcher's Ruslie collided approaching the first turn.  Kutcher's Ruslie and Aston Toto collided on the first turn causing Chicken Schnitty, Chelsea's Love and David Coin to collide checking Chelsea's Love and David Coin, both greyhounds lost ground as a result.  Sarcasmic and Gotham Duke collided on the first turn.  Smooth Talker checked off Kutcher's Ruslie entering the home straight.

Aston Samurai - Trainer Paul Abela was queried regarding the scratching of this greyhound via the heat policy, noting that the kennel has other greyhounds engaged. Mr Abela explained that Aston Samurai was affected by the hot weather and as such elected to scratch the greyhound. Mr Abela added that his other runners engaged showed no signs of being affected by the heat.    

Madalia Champ, Nicholas Rose and Fortuna Bale were slow to begin.

Annie Rose and Zipping Walter collided soon after the start.  Belle Ali and Xamira Bale collided soon after the start.  Tiger Time, Zipping Walter, Belle Ali, Xamira Bale and Nicholas Rose collided on the first turn causing Madalia Champ to check off Nicholas Rose.  Annie Rose and Zipping Walter collided on the second turn checking Zipping Walter.  Annie Rose checked off Tiger Time in the back straight.  Xamira Bale checked off Madalia Champ on the third turn.  Tiger Time and Annie Rose collided several times from the third turn to the home turn checking Tiger Time, Annie Rose and Zipping Walter.  Tiger Time and Xamira Bale collided in the home straight checking Tiger Time.

Aston Ulysses, Lot Coin Babe and Zipping Sultan collided on the first turn checking Lot Coin Babe, Zipping Sultan and Knicks Bale, causing Lot Coin Babe and Neymar Junior to collide, both greyhounds raced wide and lost ground.  Zipping Sultan and Knicks Bale collided in the front straight.  Jayville Slick and Aston Ulysses collided on the second turn.  Zipping Sultan and Neymar Junior collided on the second turn.  Drumroll Please and Neymar Junior raced wide on the second turn.  Aston Ulysses and Sharni's My Girl collided on the home turn.

Weeona Bulldozer went up with the lids.  Mr. Bar Wicked and Zipping Caviar collided soon after the start.  Zipping Caviar checked off Kismet Storm soon after the start.  King I Am and Mr. Bar Wicked collided approaching the first turn checking King I Am and causing Weeona Bulldozer and King I Am to collide.  Mr. Bar Wicked and Aston Shine collided on the first turn.  Weeona Bulldozer and King I Am collided on the first turn checking King I Am, causing King I Am and Charlie Bale to collide and causing King I Am to falter.  Mr. Bar Wicked and Aston Shine collided entering the back straight checking Aston Shine, Entranced and Weeona Bulldozer.  Entranced and Aston Shine collided on the third turn checking Entranced.  Mr. Bar Wicked and Zipping Caviar collided entering the home straight.  Entranced and Charlie Bale collided entering the home straight.  

King I Am underwent a post-race veterinary exmaination and was found to have a left back muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event Stewards dispensed the hot weather policy due to a significant decrease in the outside temperature.

Smart As Jack stumbled at the start.  Fernando Mick, Smart As Jack and Daph's Zac collided soon after the start.  Full Moon Party checked off Javier Bale approaching the first turn.  Smart As Jack, Full Moon Party, Bowled Underarm and Fernandes collided on the first turn checking Bowled Underarm and Fernandes.  Daph's Zac and Full Moon party collided approaching the second turn causing Bowled Underarm to check off Full Moon Party, Bowled Underarm fell as a result checking Fernandes and severely checking Fernando Mick.  Daph's Zac checked off Smart As Jack on the third turn.  

Bowled Underarm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiger's Twenty and Walk Me Home collided soon after the start.  Walk Me Home, Tekki Nibbles and Rockstar Gately collided soon after the start checking Tekki Nibbles.  Tiger's Twenty, Weblec Storm and Shima Glow collided approaching the first turn.  Tiger's Twenty and Walk Me Home collided on the first turn checking Walk Me Home.  Shima Glow checked off Tiger's Twenty on the first turn causing Weblec Storm and Tekki Nibbles to race wide.  Weblec Storm and Tiger's Twenty collided on the second turn checking Walk Me Home.  Tiger's Twenty checked off Fairytale Wish on the home turn checking Rockstar Gately.

Philadelphia Pip and Low Planes collided soon after the start.  Coconut Miss and Roll Your Eyes collided soon after the start.  Mudslide and Low Planes collided approaching the first turn.  Philadelphia Pip and Inga Mia collided approaching the first turn.  Rockstar Haynes, Philadelphia Pip and Inga Mia collided on the first turn checking Philadelphia Pip and Inga Mia: both greyhounds fell as a result checking Coconut Miss.  Mudslide checked off Rockstar Haynes in the back straight and again approaching the third turn.  Roll Your Eyes lost ground on the home turn.

Philadelphia Pip underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right stifle injury.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Roll Your Eyes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.

Inga Mia - Stewards spoke to Trainer Mrs Mary Inguanti (via telephone) after she left the course this evening without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted.  Mrs Inguanti was issued a warning pursuant to GAR 42 (2) . Mrs Inguanti brought Inga Mai back to the track for a veterinary examination and it was found to have split webbing to the left hind foot.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
