Blue Stingray and Ice Ice Bourbski collided approaching the first turn. Zippy Volkswagon checked off the heels of Ice Ice Bourbski on the first turn. Romilda Vane galloped on the heels of Evident on the first turn checking both greyhounds.. Romilda Vane shifted out and collided with Evident approaching the home turn. Evident and Romilda Vane collided on the home turn. Ice Ice Bourbski and Zippy Volkswagon collided on the home turn. Ice Ice Bourbski and Zippy Volkswagon collided in the home straight. Ice Ice Bourbski checked off the heels of Zippy Volkswagon in the home straight. Romilda Vane underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Trainer, Ian Cockerell declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Cockerell, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Romilda Vane was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Cockerell pleaded guilty to the charge, Romilda Vane was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
