Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Princess Deb.
Fast And Flying and Rock Opera were quick to begin. Mr. Hillbilly and Princess Deb collided approaching the first turn checking Princess Deb. Crown Jimmy and Preconceived collided approaching the first turn. Innocent Gem, Buzz Out and Mr. Hillbilly collided approaching the home turn. Innocent Gem and Fast And Flying collided entering the home straight. Rock Opera visibly eased and turned it's head outwards in the home straight.
Rock Opera underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury and a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Thomas Boehmke, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Rock Opera was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Rock Opera was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
