A pre-race sample was taken from Heads Or Tails.

Heads Or Tails was very slow to begin (4 lengths). White Flower and Bus Driver collided soon after the start. Euchre John and Lavish Pearl collided soon after the start. Lavish Pearl crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Winlock Mungo checking Lavish Pearl and White Flower, White Flower stumbled and fell as a result. Bus Driver and Lavish Pearl collided on the first turn checking Lavish Pearl. Euchre John crossed to the rail in the home straight.

White Flower underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions on the right achilles tendon and under a toe on the left front foot. A 7 day stand down period was imposed
