Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Cawbourne Coco.
Romeo Bale and Cawbourne Coco were quick to begin. Utah Ghost and Top Right were slow to begin. Aussie Built and Circumstance collided soon after the start. Aussie Built visibly eased on the first turn. Romeo Bale and Utah Ghost collided approaching the home turn. Utah Ghost And Romeo Bale raced wide in the home straight.
Aussie Built underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left calf. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms. T. Deglaitis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Aussie Built was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Deglaitis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Aussie Built was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
