Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Aunt Finnie.
Bakali George was quick to begin. Rival Wiggy was slow to begin.
Paul's Happy checked off Aunt Finnie soon after the start. Paul's Happy visible eased soon after the start. Aunt Finnie and Fairytale Poppy collided approaching the first turn. Parasite and Paul's Happy raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Rival Wiggy and My Annabelle collided in the home straight.
Paul's Happy underwent a post-race veterinary examination was re-examined following race number 11, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr. Paul Pace, the trainer regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Paul's Happy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Pace pleaded guilty to the charge, Paul's Happy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
