Steward's Report
Two Gears – Late scratching at 1:37pm under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted.
Buzz Out and Little Winnie collided approaching the first turn. Ruby Arizona lost ground approaching the first turn and lost ground. Fast And Flying and Rock Opera collided on the first turn severely checking Fast And Flying.
Ruby Arizona underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have pain in the left thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Robert Tolson regarding the racing manners of Ruby Arizona approaching the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr. Robert Tolson, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.
