A pre-race sample was taken from Ava's Prediction. 

One Tonne was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Brizo and Ava's Prediction collided approaching the first turn. Brizo, Ava's Prediction, Okay Karen, Stella's Memory, Inky's Fireball and Kid Tullamore collided approaching the home turn severely checking Kid Tullamore and severely checking Okay Karen which stumbled and pulled up. Brizo galloped on the heels of Stella's Memory approaching the home turn. Stella's Memory visibly eased and turned it's head outwards approaching the home turn. Killer Miss visibly eased and turned it's head outwards approaching the home turn. Killer Miss and Stella's Memory collided entering the home straight. One Tonne and Stella's Memory collided in the home straight.

Okay Karen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Killer Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right flexor tendon injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Brian Brown, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Killer Miss was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Killer Miss was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stella's Memory underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Thomas Boehmke, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Stella's Memory was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Boehmke pleaded not guilty to the charge, Stella's Memory was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

All Inn Olivia was slow to begin. Deputy Sam turned it's head inwards at box rise. Royal Rufus and Cosmetic Rose collided approaching the first turn. Olivia Twist raced wide to the first turn. Cosmetic Rose and All Inn Olivia collided on the first turn. Alfie Rocks and Gemma Rapid collided on the first turn checking Gemma Rapid. Deputy Sam and Royal Rufus collided on the first turn checking Royal Rufus. Gemma Rapid and Olivia Twist collided approaching the home turn. Granny Said Go, Deputy Sam and All Inn Olivia collided approaching the home turn. All Inn Olivia and Deputy Sam collided on the home turn. Royal Rufus raced wide in the home straight.

Deputy Sam underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right fore toes. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Alfred Debattista regarding the racing manners of Deputy Sam soon after the start.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Debattista, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start.

Bakali George and Midnight Mile collided approaching the first turn checking Midnight Mile. Midnight Mile, Eadie and Squeaky Mouse collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Squeaky Mouse. Bakali George and Big Fuss collided on the first turn. Midnight Mile and Eadie collided approaching the home turn. Bakali George eased and turned it's head inwards in the home straight.

Bakali George underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Leland Medcraft regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Bakali George was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Medcraft pleaded guilty to the charge, Bakali George was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Squeaky Mouse underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Two Gears – Late scratching at 1:37pm under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Buzz Out and Little Winnie collided approaching the first turn. Ruby Arizona lost ground approaching the first turn and lost ground. Fast And Flying and Rock Opera collided on the first turn severely checking Fast And Flying.

Ruby Arizona underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have pain in the left thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Robert Tolson regarding the racing manners of Ruby Arizona approaching the first turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Robert Tolson, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.

Bright Blue was quick to begin. Why Yes was slow to begin. Soundstage and Saint Ellie collided soon after the start checking Saint Ellie. Look Around and Bright Blue collided on the second turn checking Bright Blue. Soundstage turned it's head inwards towards Cullquin Freya in the home straight.

Soundstage underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race 9. Soundstage was found to have soreness in the right triangle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Leland Medcraft regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Soundstage was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Medcraft pleaded guilty to the charge, Soundstage was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zero To Hero – New declared weight of 33.5kg, last raced at 35.1kg.

Jedda Milne, Colourful Past, Cracked Soda and Gigi's Fire collided approaching the home turn checking Jedda Milne, Cracked Soda and Gigi's Fire. Zero To Hero and Dewana Milkshake collided approaching the home turn checking Zero To Hero. Less Ordinary checked off Gigi's Fire on the home turn. Dewana Milkshake raced wide entering the home straight. Colourful Past and Cracked Soda collided in the home straight.

Adesanya, Pete Cabang and Our Flying Bolt collided approaching the first turn checking Pete Cabang. Our Flying Bolt and Divine Dixie collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Divine Dixie. Charmed and Beach Master collided approaching the home turn. Pete Cabang and College Boy raced wide in the home straight.

Rezzie's Shout, Paper Plane and Brindle Fire collided on the first turn checking Paper Plane which stumbled. Brindle Fire and Silky Rose collided on the home turn.

Raw Attitude and Lektra Nat collided approaching the first turn. Iceni Hunter and Librarian collided on the first turn checking Librarian which collided with Savannah Lee. Librarian, Savannah Lee and Got One Fernando collided approaching the home turn. Savannah Lee galloped on the heels of Librarian on the home turn checking Librarian.

Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted. 

King Brown and Mr. Daver collided approaching the first turn. King Brown, Mr. Daver, Dancing Rose, Eddie Lee and Good Mate Rusty collided on the first turn checking Mr. Daver. Good Mate Rusty and Especial Echo collided approaching the home tur and on the home turn checking Especial Echo.

Prior to running of this race Stewards noted that a bank of lights were out past the winning post just prior to the Catching Pen area. The issue was referred to Club Manager Mr Troy Harley, after a discussion between Stewards and Mr Harley, it was decided that there was sufficient lighting for the greyhounds to enter the catching pen without any issues that would effect the greyhounds entering the catching pen.
