Panadero Grace was quick to begin.  Rock On Runner crossed in soon after the start and collided with Riverbank Smokey, Lunar Halo and Shell Star Keats.  Shell Star Keats and Riverbank Smokey collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Riverbank Smokey galloped on Lunar Halo on the first turn checking Riverbank Smokey and severely checking Lunar Halo.

Kalbarri and Let Out collided soon after the start.  Little Nellie and Wears Woodleigh collided soon after the start.  Cool Customer was checked off Cruising Ruby on the first turn checking Little Nellie. Wears Woodleigh and Kalbarri collided on the first turn.  Kalbarri and Little Nellie collided several times from the home turn to the home straight.

Aston Toto underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right monkey muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. G. Jose regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Aston Toto was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due committment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Jose pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Toto was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72,   before any future nomination will be accepted.
