Steward's Report
Black Gemstone was quick to begin. Fernando Mick and Lunar Star collided soon after the start checking Lunar Star. Son Of Indy and Flying Lantern collided approaching the first turn checking Son Of Indy. Fernando Mick checked off Black Gemstone on the first turn and collided with Affair Bit causing both greyhounds to fall. Mepunga Reject, Lunar Star, Son Of Indy and Mepunga Warrior collided on the first turn chercking Lunar Star and Mepunga Warrior. Fernando Mick and Affair Bit collided entering the home straight.
Fernando Mick was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr T. Britton, regarding the racing manners of Lunar Star on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Britton, viewing all the available race footage, acting on their observations, in particular Fernando Mick and Affair Bit contacting the outside fence at this time, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's racing manners.
A sample was taken from Black Gemstone, the winner of the event.
