Capitis – Late scratching at 6:26 pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to gastrointeritis. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Nangkari.
Stewards delayed the race by two minutes to allow Sky Channel to resume transmission.
Aston Shintaro was quick to begin. Happy Lass was slow to begin.
Nangkari and Flexing collided soon after the start. Happy Lass checked off Aston Ruston on the first turn, checking Kiss Your Lips. Aston Ruston galloped on Aston Shintaro on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Meet Joe Black checked off Flexing approaching the home turn. Aston Shintaro checked off Meet Joe Black entering the home straight, checking Aston Ruston.
