Steward's Report

Ernie All Sorts – Late scratching at 2:51 pm under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas.  A three day stand down period was imposed Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted.

Giant's Flash was slow to begin.

Not Arandt checked off Fab Nine soon after the start.  Memory Lass and Fab Nine collided on the first turn, checking Fab Nine.  Rakesh and Nova To Burn collided on the first turn; checking Nova To Burn and Giant's Flash; Nova To Burn raced wide as a result.  Not Arandt and Fab Nine collided on the home turn and again in the home straight, checking Not Arandt. Rakesh and Giant's Flash collided several times approaching the winning post. 

Giant's Flash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle injury.  A seven day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr R Clark regarding the racing manners of Giant's Flash approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr Clark, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
