Steward's Report
Alabama Cruise and Rockin' Diamonds were slow to begin.
I'm Not Barry and Minnie Banjo collided approaching the first turn, checking I'm Not Barry. Batman's Dreams and Star Of Jasmine collided on the first turn; checking Batman's Dreams, Star Of Jasmine and Minnie Banjo. Impress Them raced wide on the first turn; checking Batman's Dreams and Star Of Jasmine. Alabama Cruise raced wide on the home turn. Star Of Jasmine checked off Minnie Banjo entering the home straight. Minnie Banjo and Batman's Dreams collided several times approaching the winning post.
Minnie Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race six, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Harding regarding the racing manners of Minnie Banjo approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr Harding and viewing all the available race footage, both lateral and head-on vision, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Stewards established that Minnie Banjo and Batman's Dreams collided on several occassions approaching the winning post, which contributed to Minnie Banjo becoming unbalanced for a number of strides.
A post-race sample was taken from Batman's Dreams - the winner of the event.
