Steward's Report
Masked Avenger was quick to begin. Love A Collision was slow to begin. Somerton Rose and Jenny Kay Rose collided approaching the first turn. Somerton Rose and Love A Collision collided on the first turn. Dr. Carmel and Jenny Kay Rose collided on the first turn. Oh Mary crossed in on the first turn severely checking Dr. Carmel and Jenny Kay Rose. Dr. Carmel crossed out and eased approaching the home turn checking Love A Collision causing both greyhounds to race wide. Dr. Carmel marred Love A Collision in the home straight.
Dr. Carmel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left monkey muscle in jury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the representative Ms. Jennifer Gill regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dr. Carmel was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Gill pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr. Carmel was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
