Aston Kipchoge was slow to begin. Sunset Bourbski and Ellias Bale collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Ellias Bale checked off Verne Bale approaching the first turn checking Aston Kipchoge. Sunset Bourbski checked off Flossy Jo approaching the first turn. Sunset Bourbski checked off Verne Bale on the first turn severely checking Sunset Bourbski, Ellias Bale and Aston Kipchoge causing Ellias Bale and Aston Kipchoge to lose considerable ground. Playlist checked off Run Like Jess on the third turn.
