A pre-race sample was taken from Galaxy Queen.
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes to allow for the lure to be repositioned to the correct marker. Stewards spoke to the lure driver and advised him to be more deligent in future when placing the lure in the correct position.
Mod Squad and Little Mug were slow to begin.
Mod Squad and Little Mug collided soon after the start checking Little Mug and Galaxy Queen. Big Don't Argue and Colden Brookie collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Mod Squad and Wilbur Deeds collided entering the home straight. Colden Brookie and Mod Squad collided in the home straight checking Mod Squad and Wilbur Deeds. Mod Squad, Wilbur Deeds and Little Mug collided approaching the winning post checking Wilbur Deeds and Little Mug.
