Fabriola Yes and Aston Adonis were slow to begin.
Handsome Jack and She's So Kind collided soon after the start. Utah Ghost and Dipped In Honey collided soon after the start checking Dipped In Honey and Fabriola Yes. Grindylow checked off Crumlin approaching the first turn and collided with Dipped In Honey. Fabriola Yes checked off Dipped In Honey on the first turn checking Aston Adonis. Crumlin and Handsome Jack collided several times approaching the second turn and on the second turn. Utah Ghost raced wide on the second turn. Dipped In Honey checked off She's So Kind on the second turn. She's So Kind checked off Handsome Jack in the back straight. Grindylow, Handsome Jack, Dipped In Honey and Crumlin collided on the third turn checking Aston Adonis, Dipped In Honey, Grindylow, She's So Kind and Fabriola Yes. Crumlin raced wide and eased approaching the home turn severely checking Utah Ghost. Grindylow, Handsome Jack, Dipped In Honey and She's So Kind collided on the home turn checking She's So Kind, Handsome Jack and Dipped In Honey. Fabriola Yes and She's So Kind collided approaching the winning post.
Crumlin underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Graeme Jose regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Crumlin was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Jose pleaded guilty to the charge, Crumlin was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
