Steward's Report
Aston Genesis – Late scratching at 5.53pm on the advice of the On –Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right hind toe injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from One Night Only.
Chart Topper, Why Not Luv and Artic Assassin collided soon after the start checking Artic Assassin. Fast Lane, Artic Assassin and Chart Topper collided approaching the first turn checking Artic Assassin and Chart Topper. Swift By Design and Camila collided on the second turn checking Swift By Design, Camila, Artic Assassin, Fast Lane and Why Not Luv. Fast Lane and Why Not Luv collided on the third turn. Swift By Design checked off Why Not Luv entering the home straight.
Fast Lane underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Presutto regarding the racing manners of Fast Lane approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr. Presutto, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
