Steward's Report
Zipping Rambo – Late scratching at 5.43pm on the advice of the On –Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a laceration to the left hind toe. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Sovereign Wind and Madalia Champ collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Zipping Walter and Winlock Thor collided soon after the start. Zipping Walter, Winlock Thor, Sweet Demi and Super Zoom Jake collided on the first turn severely checking Sweet Demi and Super Zoom Jake, causing Sweet Demi to stumble. Sweet Demi checked off Super Zoom Jake entering the back straight. Sovereign Wind contacted the running rail on the third turn and collided with Madalia Champ. Zipping Walter and Winlock Thor collided entering the home straight. Sweet Demi and Super Zoom Jake collided approaching the winning post.
Sovereign Wind underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Cade - winner of the event.
