The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Strike Out was slow to begin.

Rona Express and Tinker Mighty collided soon after the start. Tinker Mighty checked off Powder Burn approaching the first turn. Udeyan Bale and Tinker Mighty collided on the first turn, checking Razor Red and Malicious Yaala, severely checking Tinker Mighty, which contacted the running rail and severely checking Rona Express and Strike Out, which stumbled and tailed off. Powder Burn checked off Angus Rhode on the first turn. Udeyan Bale and Powder Burn collided approaching the home turn. Tinker Mighty faltered on the home turn and shifted out, severely checking Rona Express.  Udeyan Bale and Powder Burn collided on the home turn. 

Tinker Mighty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a monkey muscle injury, right foreleg.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Strike Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe injury, right foreleg.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Angus Rhode - the winner of the event.

Aston Paquin was quick to begin. Why Not Ben, Aston Respect and Remnants were slow to begin. 

Stella Rhode and Especial Echo collided soon after the start. Aston Respect, Stella Rhode, Especial Echo and Aston Gabrielle collided approaching the first turn, checking Aston Respect and Stella Rhode. Especial Echo contacted the running rail on the first turn, checking Aston Respect. Stella Rhode checked off Why Not Ben in the home straight. 

Especial Echo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Langfield Bale and Mahogany Flame were slow to begin.

Langfield Bale and Fabriola Acai collided soon after the start. Langfield Bale, Blue Zenia, Jarick Bale, Who See Lucy, Brain Wave, Fabriola Acai and Mahogany Flame collided on the first turn, checking Langfield Bale, Fabriola Acai, Jarick Bale and Brain Wave, severely checking Mahogany Flame and causing Who See Lucy and Blue Zenia to fall. Fabriola Acai turned its head inwards in the home straight and collided with Brain Wave.

Blue Zenia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have wrist injury, left foreleg.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Who See Lucy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a Radius & Ulna fracture, right foreleg. Who See Lucy was humanely euthanased. 

Fabriola Acai underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was revetted after Race 5 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. D Knight, the trainer of Fabriola Acai regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Fabriola Acai was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms D Knight  not guilty to the charge, Fabriola Acai was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Xamira Bale was quick to begin.

Xamira Bale, Kaheem Bale and Cypress Bale collided on the first turn, checking Xamira Bale, Kaheem Bale, Nihari Bale and Oamaru Bale. Oamaru Bale and Nihari Bale collided in the home straight. Loves The Surf and Quintana Bale collided in the home straight. Cypress Bale and Oamaru Bale collided in the home straight.

Any Luck, Legasov Bale, Aerolithology and Aston Harlow collided soon after the start, checking Aerolithology. Any Luck, Legasov Bale and Falconetti collided approaching the first turn. Falconetti checked off Any Luck approaching the first turn. New Jack Swing, Fergusta Bale, Aston Harlow and Spring Blue collided on the first turn, checking Fergusta Bale, Legasov Bale, Aerolithology and Spring Blue and causing Fergusta Bale to stumble.  Falconetti checked off Spring Blue approaching the home turn. Selynya Teddy and Zipping Zeek collided soon after the start. Selynya Teddy and Zipping Zeek collided in the back straight. Bomb Proof and Ruby Girl collided on the second turn. Selynya Teddy checked off Ruby Girl in the home straight.

Aston Estate checked off Secrets Untold on the first turn. Secrets Untold and Teaks Streak collided on the first turn, checking Teaks Streak. Teaks Streak, Aston Spinel, Fully Roasted, Halwes and Winlock Newbolt collided entering the back straight, checking Fully Roasted. Teaks Streak, Aston Spinel and Halwes collided in the back straight, checking Aston Spinel. Aston Spinel and Fully Roasted collided on the second turn and again on the home turn.

Aston Cinnamon and Especial Empire collided soon after the start. Fawn Illusion checked off Gold Driller approaching the first turn. Aston Cinnamon contacted the running rail on the first trun and lost ground as a result. Gold Driller checked off Aston Mirage on the first turn. Gold Driller, Wendalin Bale and Aston Samara collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn, checking Wendalin Bale and Aston Samara. Fawn Illusion and Aston Cinnamon collided in the home straight. Rocket Boy raced wide in the home straight.

Aston Cinnamon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a triangle muscle injury, right hindleg.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

La La Nebraska, Pirates Patch and Aston Ryker collided approaching the home turn, checking Pirates Patch. Aston Ryker raced wide entering the home straight and collided with Moraine Nicky. Moraine Nicky and Delta Rhode collided approaching the winning post.
