Steward's Report
Dami Jack was slow to begin.
Rocky Strike and Potato Sunrise collided soon after the start. Kraken Sue and Long Black Lass collided soon after the start. Dami Jack and Potato Sunrise collided approaching the 250m mark. Empire Lad and Rocky Strike collided at the 200m mark checking Empire Lad. Frainy's Well and Long Black Lass collided at the 200m mark. Dami Jack eased at the 100m mark and pulled up.
Dami Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. The trainer declined to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr David Pryse, the trainer of Dami Jack regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Dami Jack was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Pryse pleaded guilty to the charge, Dami Jack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
