Fairytale Nacho and Bakali George collided approaching the 50m mark.

A post-race sample was taken from Urana Vieri - placed 3rd in the event, after a car-park sample was unable to be obtained.

Villanelle was quick to begin. Mt. View Bee turned in the boxes and was very slow to begin - 5 lengths.

Villanelle turned its head out and and visibly eased soon after the start checking Mt. View Pearl, Mt. View Ginger and Persisted. Mt View Pearl and Mt. View Ginger collided approaching the 250m mark checking both greyhounds. Villanelle turned its head out and collided with Boes Bambino approaching the 200m mark. Colossal Fire and Villanelle collided from approaching the 200m mark to the 50m mark checking Villanelle.

Mt. View Bee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have and injury to the right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Mt. View Bee - turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the race.  Placed on a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 52(1), pursuant to GAR 72.

Trainer, Mr Wayne Gummow declined to have Villanelle vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr Gummow, the trainer of Villanelle regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Villanelle was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Gummow pleaded guilty to the charge, Villanelle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dami Jack was slow to begin.

Rocky Strike and Potato Sunrise collided soon after the start. Kraken Sue and Long Black Lass collided soon after the start. Dami Jack and Potato Sunrise collided approaching the 250m mark. Empire Lad and Rocky Strike collided at the 200m mark checking Empire Lad. Frainy's Well and Long Black Lass collided at the 200m mark. Dami Jack eased at the 100m mark and pulled up.

Dami Jack underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. The trainer declined to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Mr David Pryse, the trainer of Dami Jack regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Dami Jack was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Pryse pleaded guilty to the charge, Dami Jack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Run Johnny Run - New declared weight of 32.2kgs, last raced at 34.0kgs.

Sonic Lauryn, Mt. View Dodger, Buzz Out, Without Fear, Patricia Mary collided approaching the 250m mark checking Buzz Out and Without Fear. Sonic Lauryn and Mt. View Dodger collided approaching the 200m mark. Without Fear crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. Sonic Lauryn and Mt. View Dodger collided approaching the 150m mark. Sonic Lauryn, Mt. View Dodger and Buzz Out collided at the 150m mark checking Sonic Lauryn and Buzz Out.

Black Heel High and Darklight collided soon after the start. Black Heel High crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark. Saharrah Blitz and Soho Girl collied at the 200m mark checking both greyhounds. Black Heel High and Lucky Paws collided at the 150m mark checking both greyhounds.

Symbol For You and Also Arandt were slow to begin.

Symbol For You crossed to the outside at the 300m mark. Amlin Frozen and Thunderbolt Jack collided approaching the 250m mark checking Thunderbolt Jack and Precisely. Kraken Thunder and Simmons collided approaching the 100m mark checking Simmons and causing Also Arandt to check off Kraken Thunder.

Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr C Kiernan, regarding his failure to have full control of Simmons at the starting boxes for this Event. Mr. Kiernan stated that he had recently had surgery on his hand which caused him to momentarily lose control of Simmons.  Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Kiernan pursuant to GAR86(q) in that he failed to have full control of Simmons. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into consideration Mr. Kiernan's clean record of 50 years with the industry and the fact that he recently had surgery.  

Blur was slow to begin.

Tiny Shiny and Cracked Pepper collided soon after the start. Tiny Shiny, Cracked Pepper, Annaley Flash and Fried White Bait collided approaching the 300m mark checking Tiny Shiny and Fried White Bait severely checking Cracked Pepper which faltered, lost ground and tailed off. Blur, Tiny Shiny, Annaley Flash and Fried White Bait collided approaching the 200m mark checking Tiny Shiny, Annaley Flash and Fried White Bait.

Cracked Pepper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Melanistic was slow to begin.

Burning Mountain and Take A Sunflower collided approaching the 300m mark. Challis Sprite and Electric Mick collided at the 300m mark checking Challis Sprite. Burning Mountain checked off Electric Mick approaching the 250m mark.

Mister Wingard -Late scratching at 10.50am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.Trainer, Michael Ferguson was fined $100.

Half A Double went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Double Up was slow to begin. 

Cloak And Dagger, Double Up and Maximum Capers collided at the 250m mark checking Cloak And Dagger and Double Up. Retro Reece and Maximum Capers collided approaching the 50m mark.

Remember Jimmy and Aston Jansz were slow to begin.

Remember Jimmy, Monaco Lights and Battered Sav collided approaching 150m mark checking Monaco Lights and Battered Sav. Remember Jimmy crossed to the outside approaching the 100m mark.

Remember Jimmy underwent a post-race veterinary examination following an incident in the catching pen and was found to have PEDS. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards noted that on pulling up in the catching pen, Remember Jimmy had an ataxic episode.  Following consultation with the GRV On-Course Veterinary Officer, Stewards invoked GAR74(1)(a) and have directed the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR72, before being eligible to be nominated again.

Okawa Eye Candy - Late scratching at 10.54am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a suspected bee sting. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Courtney Lee and Dust Up collided at the 250m mark. Dust Up and Kraken Storm collided at the 200m mark and again approaching the 150m mark checking both greyhounds. Courtney Lee crossed to the outside approaching the 50m mark.

Notorious Jiggs went up with the lids and was slow to begin. Further Dreamer and Pretty Boy Pat were slow to begin. 

Notorious Jiggs and Man City Boy collided soon after the start. Pretty Boy Pat crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark. Lady Elegance and Man City Boy collided approaching the 200m mark checking Man City Boy. Valetta Mist and Man City Boy collided approaching the 150m mark checking Man City Boy and Further Dreamer, causing Man City Boy to lose ground.
