The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday, 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5 m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 33.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.7 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Ed Deeds and Nebraska Nell collided approaching the home turn checking Nebraska Nell. Who Knows Roman and Tiggerlong Al collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Nebraska Nell underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported

Harden Up Tommy was quick to begin. Lara Tara was slow to begin.

Pansy Parkinson and Cherokee Twist collided approaching the first turn checking Cherokee Twist. Mepunga Missile and Silken collided on the third turn.

Suvla Bay was quick to begin. Print The Cash and Midnight Hussler were slow to begin.

Secret Package and Belle Ali collided soon after the start checking Secret Package. Print The Cash, Belle Ali and Aston Genesis collided approaching the first turn. Print The Cash galloped on Yano Bale approaching the first turn severely checking Print The Cash which fell checking Secret Package.

Print The Cash underwent a post race veterinary examination, no apparent injury was detected.

The starting time for Race 9 was amended to 10:04pm to allow for remedial work to be carried out on the inside running rail shortly after the winning post. The work was completed and the lure tested satisfactorily before the running of this event.

Blackpool Alfie was quick to begin. Groundbreaking was slow to begin.

Send It Socks and Maasai Mara collided soon after the start checking Maasai Mara. Rockstar Brass and Groundbreaking collided on the first turn.

The start of this event was rescheduled to 10.20pm due to the delay with the previous event.

Hungry Eyes was slow to begin.

Open Throttle went up with the lids and lost ground. Magnis Bale and Cherokee Cat collided soon after the start. Tinker Mary and Shinjuku collided soon after the start. Magnis Bale, Cherokee Cat and Hungry Eyes collided approaching the first turn. Shinjuku checked off Tinker Mary on the first turn and brushed the rail. Hungry Eyes galloped on Tinker Mary on the first turn. Open Throttle and Cherokee Cat collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Fawkner Park, Marcus Will and Blackpool Bolt were quick to begin. Short Tyson was slow to begin.

Fawkner Park, Marcus Will, Blackpool Bolt and Rockstar Carmody collided approaching the first turn. Fawkner Park and Blackpool Bolt collided on the first turn checking Blackpool Bolt severely checking Fawkner Park which subsequently tailed off.

Fawkner Park underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Slingshot Chas - New declared weight of 33.2kg, last raced at 34.4kg.

Supplementary Report

Brother Soldier – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling as the greyhound was found to be injured at Horsham on November 17 2020. Brother Soldier was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be not free from injury and subsequently not cleared to race.
