A sample was taken from Skating Queen at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.
Cawbourne Mimma was slow to begin.
Colden Brookie and Skating Queen collided approaching the first turn. Moraine Nicky and Zulu Eyes collided on the first turn, checking Zulu Eyes. Free Advice, Skating Queen and Zulu Eyes collided on the first turn, checking Skating Queen. Zulu Eyes and Cawbourne Mimma collided approaching the home turn; severely checking Cawbourne Mimma.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr D.Drew regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. After viewing all video footage, acting on their own observations and hearing submissions from Mr Drew, Stewards accepted Mr Drew's explanation and no further action was taken.
Aston Minerva underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg spike wound injury. No stand down period was imposed.
Cawbourne Mimma underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
