Steward's Report
Runnin' Riot, Langfield Bale, El Rey Leon and Zing On were slow to begin.
Daph's Echo, Xamira Bale and Folding Stars collided approaching the first turn. Xamira Bale and Folding Stars collided on the first turn checking Folding Stars. Runnin' Riot checked off El Rey Leon on the first turn. Xamira Bale and Folding Stars collided approaching the home turn. Xamira Bale and Daph's Echo collided on the home turn. Zing On turned it's head outwards and collided with Daph's Echo approaching the winning post.
Zing On underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have thumps and a right hamstring injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr G Selkrig regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Zing On was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Selkrig pleaded not guilty to the charge, Zing On was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
