Steward's Report
The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Slingshot Darius was quick to begin. Buster's Choice was slow to begin.
Grumpy Al checked off Buster's Choice approaching the first turn. Grumpy Al and Shore's Boy collided on the first turn. Shore's Boy galloped on the heels of Grumpy Al on the first turn, checking Grumpy Al. Slingshot Darius and Big Bluey Rocks collided approaching the winning post checking Buster's Choice. Grumpy Al eased approaching the winning post and collided with Shore's Boy.
Shore's Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left fore & hind legs. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Grumpy Al underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have thumps (moderate episode), no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr A. Campbell regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Grumpy Al was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Campbell pleaded guilty to the charge, Grumpy Al was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
