The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Slingshot Darius was quick to begin. Buster's Choice was slow to begin.

Grumpy Al checked off Buster's Choice approaching the first turn. Grumpy Al and Shore's Boy collided on the first turn. Shore's Boy galloped on the heels of Grumpy Al on the first turn, checking Grumpy Al. Slingshot Darius and Big Bluey Rocks collided approaching the winning post checking Buster's Choice. Grumpy Al eased approaching the winning post and collided with Shore's Boy.

Shore's Boy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left fore & hind legs. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Grumpy Al underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have thumps (moderate episode), no stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr A. Campbell regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Grumpy Al was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Campbell pleaded guilty to the charge, Grumpy Al was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Runnin' Riot, Langfield Bale, El Rey Leon and Zing On were slow to begin.

Daph's Echo, Xamira Bale and Folding Stars collided approaching the first turn. Xamira Bale and Folding Stars collided on the first turn checking Folding Stars. Runnin' Riot checked off El Rey Leon on the first turn. Xamira Bale and Folding Stars collided approaching the home turn. Xamira Bale and Daph's Echo collided on the home turn. Zing On turned it's head outwards and collided with Daph's Echo approaching the winning post.

Zing On underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have thumps and a right hamstring injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr G Selkrig regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Zing On was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Zanfrey Bale and Quinto Bale collided soon after the start. Quinto Bale checked off Mahogany Queen approaching the first turn. Quinto Bale contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Zanfrey Bale who fell as a result. Collinda Dodge and La La Louis collided approaching the home turn.

Quinto Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the inside left hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Zanfrey Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the fore and hind limbs, a left hamstring and thigh injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Pyrocumulus and Fairytale Wish were quick to begin.

Weetbix Jester underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request - no apparent injury was reported.
