Canny Catch It was slow to begin. Canny Catch It checked off Denman Flyer soon after the start. Effie Trinkett, Wally Portelli and Crafty Maisy collided on the first turn checking Effie Trinkett and Wally Portelli and severely checking Canny Catch It and Crafty Maisy. He's Schmick and Maggie's Revenge collided on the first turn. Effie Trinkett checked off Wally Portelli in the back straight. Effie Trinkett raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Crafty Maisy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the right triangle. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
