Witch Bale was slow to begin. Elite Faze, Victoria Pledge and Mumma Hook collided soon after the start checking Elite Faze. Witch Bale and Elite Faze collided on the first turn. Blue Mayhem checked off Grand Illusion on the first turn. Mumma Hook checked off Victoria Pledge on the first turn checking Elite Faze and severely checking She CAn Whirl which lost ground as a result. Blue Mayhem checked off Grand Illusion approaching the home turn. Witch Bale and Blue Mayhem collided in the home straight. Witch Bale, Blue Mayhem and Grand Illusion collided in the home straight. Blue Mayhem eased approaching the winning post.

She Can Whirl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in both shoulders. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Craig Davis, the trainer of the greyhound Blue Mayhem.  Blue Mayhem was vetted and re-vetted following event 4.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Blue Mayhem with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.
