Stewards spoke to Mrs. Cheryl Hopes the handler of the greyhound Sir Russ. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Sir Russ with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ottantotto trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 25.0, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.75, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 0.25. Ottantotto was Cleared.

Hoss trialled over the 450m from box 3, weight 32.8, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.75, the greyhound was won by a margin of 0.25. Hoss was Not Cleared.

Trial 2 -

Ruby Tuesday trialled over the 390m from box 8, weight 27.1, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.50, the greyhound was won by a margin of 1.25. Ruby Tuesday was Cleared to race in blinkers.
