Steward's Report
Aston Harlow was quick to begin.
Romeo Bale and Sadie Bale collided soon after the start. Lady Fabio and Fernando Booker collided approaching the first turn. Sadie Bale and Lady Fabio collided approaching the first turn. Dayana Bale checked off Aston Guinness approaching the first turn checking Aston Guinness. Dayana Bale and Romeo Bale collided approachng the frst turn. Aston Guinness visibly eased on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Aston Guinness, Dayana Bale, Sadie Bale and Lady Fabio collided approaching the home turn. Sadie Bale and Lady Fabio collided approaching the home turn.
Aston Guinness underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr S. Kaltsis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Aston Guinness was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Kaltsis pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Guinness was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
